Great solution.
I was a little unsure of the zip function at first but I am well pleased after receipt of the shoes and trial. This beats the socks off of tie and retie.

Zipper moves
The zipper moves, thus loosening the shoe making them feel like they are going to come off

Cool concept
Love being able to easily slip in and out of these with the zipper feature. No lacing up. It’s almost like a slip on hiking shoe. Like them a lot.

It’s a decent shoe but the zipper partially unzips at times while on a trail.

Great shoe! Easy on and off
Very happy with this shoe. The zipper works great and is sturdy. The shoe stays to form and comfortable. Easy to put on and off. I’d like another pair in another color…

Middle ground
While any purveyor may publish technical diagrams and declare well made; anecdotal information is needed here.
Instead of waiting for that “sweet spot” betwixt the break in period and support collapse, merrell offers structural footbed comfort from first donning through upper shoe life!

African adventure
These worked really well for flying and walking around the rugged african terrain. They are not adjustable, so some customers rate them as too loose. I would agree if I'm rock climbing, but these are great for everything else.

Moab 3 ready zip
I really liked the zipper idea and the shoes…but I did not like the fact you can’t tighten them up at all! They are just what they are and since they were too loose on the top of my foot I had to send them back. Hopefully they will make the next version where you can get them as tight as you need them then just use the zipper for easy on/off.
