Not barefoot shoes
I ended up returning these because I found them too narrow. The sole is also not very flexible, and I do not think they should be marketed as barefoot shoes. In general I have liked Merrell shoes in the past (specifically the moccasins) but these were not a success for me.

Only Merrill disappointment.
I bought these shoes with high hopes. I own six pairs of Merrills and I’ve always been happy with him I was not happy with these shoes. There is no cushioning immediately both of my knees starting to hurt a day after wearing the shoes for the entire day along with the fact that there didn’t seem to be a lot of arch support. Tried them again thinking it might’ve been the day but it wasn’t, these is the only pair of Merrills I bought that I was disappointed with

A good choice for prosthetics
I have a prosthetic foot, which is fairly rigid and flat on the bottom, so these ''zero-drop'' style shoes are better than a normal shoe. I don´t hike in these, but I have walked over a variety of surfaces - snow, mud, dirt, grass, wood, pavement, smooth floors, and so far, I haven't slipped on anything. They were comfortable right out of the box, and they're easy to slip on and off.
