Park Avenue Oxford (Men)

The lug sole is an interesting update to the iconic Allen Edmonds Park Avenues. These Park Avenues retain the cap toe and Goodyear welt, while sporting a new rubber sole that's glued onto the midsole. There are those who do not like the idea that the Park Avenues, known for their formality, especially in black, would take on a lug sole. I myself am a big fan of round-toe lug-sole derbies, and while these Park Avenues are more pointed toe, they still look like great casual shoes because of the sole, but yet, they can be dressed up to a great degree because of their simple Oxford form. These lug-sole Park Avenues come in black and chili, and both look great. The chili is a bit more versatile, since their brownish color look less out of place with a thick rubber sole. And, of course, since they're Goodyear-welted, they can be resoled. If you get tired of the lug sole, you can slap a leather sole on them, and now you have yourself a traditional Allen Edmonds Park Avenue.
