Yes, they really do smell bad
Someone else posted a review commenting on how bad these jeans smell. The smell isn't regular new denim smell that washes out. These are made with recycled plastic bottles, and I suspect that might have something to do with it. Not gonna chance it by hoping the stink goes away after washing. Returning.

OMG...these smell so bad...
I love Wit & Wisdom! I have several pairs of pants and 3 or 4 pairs of jeans. However, these STINK!!!! I love the look and the fit but they smell so bad, I'm not sure I'll be able to wear them. I hug them outside for 2 days, I sprayed them with every odor spray I could find, I soaked them in baking soda for 4 hours and then washed in hot water....they still smell!!! Sooooo disappointing.

I bought my usual size 4, but I think these are a little large. I know they will probably stretch out even more. I’m going to return them and not get a smaller size simply because I didn’t really like the back pockets. And how my butt looks, lol. They are also a little bit see-through, but not enough to matter if I had really liked them. Also, I would say that they are cropped and have a very wide-leg fit. I’m 5”8" and they reached above my ankle.
