Tabby Belted Denim Shirtdress

First of all the wash of this denim it’s very versatile. I’ve worn it late summer all of fall with a blazer and boots. I’ll be able to wear it through the California winter. Next, is the fit. I’m normally a size 8, but sized up to a 10. This aloud for that extra back and chest space people have noted as being tight. The waist fits perfect, the fabric doesn’t bunch up in the back due to a size increase. I find I wear an 8 in this brand, so consider sizing up. Another great feature is the built-in zipper so that there’s no gapping when you sit down or walk. The material is a medium weight but I found it just fine for the warm August/ September, Bay Area weather. And now it’s on sale. It’s a great dress to dress up or down with sneakers, boots, and with the right person I even pulled off wearing the Madrid berks.

God knows i love Veronica Beard clothing but this one just refused to oblige. I normally wear size 6 but i couldn't even button it. So i returned and ordered one size up. I can button it but it flattens my chest LOL. And that means the bottom part is now bigger. I have tried to keep the size 8, even catwalking in shoes to convince myself but nah! Flat chest and buttons pulled on both sides don't look nice. It is going back, SADLY. Four stars because the dress is really cute besides the fitting problem.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is a mid weight pretty denim. Soft, but with zero stretch. I usually buy a size 4 but sized up when I read it had no stretch. The 6 is uncomfortable around the chest even though it fits perfect everywhere else. Not my favorite, I am returning it.

This Veronica Beard dress is true to their size. It does not, however, have much give. The denim is more of a medium weight and is perfect for fall or cooler climates than here in the south. I miss side pockets but not enough to return this cute dress. Because it’s very sliming I feel that it looks a bit more sophisticated, especially with the right accessories. I love it!
