MOTHER

Founded in 2010 by premium-denim industry pros Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding, MOTHER specializes in collections that present a juxtaposition of hard and soft. The brand evokes teenage rebellion, unconditional love and hilarious insult all at the same time (the company's name is a play on the duality of the word "mother," which can be nurturing or a cuss).

Good fit, nice wash

This review is for the Cannonball wash. This Tomcat style is bit longer than the other Tomcats, which is good for me because I'm tall. They are marked as Mother Superior which is supposed to mean 100% cotton but these are not, they have some stretch (very little). Since they fit like rigid jeans, I suggest going one size up.

Really small

These would be perfect in every way but they are crazy small. I have another pair of Mother superior jeans and I sized up 1 for those because the superior denim is very low stretch. I got the same size this time and couldn’t even button this pair. Definitely a shame. I will be returning.

runs 2 sizes small

Love the length and cut, but I ordered 1 size up (28) from my usual size (27) and they are just a bit too snug. 29 would be perfect but they aren’t available. Bummed.

Good work look

I swear them to work occasionally. They are not flattering or feminine.

Two sizes too small.

Usually wear a 29, but 29 too small. Returned and ordered a 31 and it fit like a 29.

Runs small and I'm not that large.

Runs very small, especially in belly area. Love the the thickness and length of jean so I plan on sizing up.
