Super soft but not petite friendly

I’m really torn about these jeans. The denim is really soft and lightweight so it has a nice drape. However, these are a good 2” too long for being “lil” Mother. I had to check the inside of the jeans to make sure they were tagged correctly (they were). I’m usually a 24 in Mother jeans but bought the 23 and they fit perfectly. I may have them hemmed since they’re great in every other way.
