Not True Wide Calf
Extremely disappointed. These are not true “wide calf” boots. I have 2 pairs of the Pennys that fit amazingly. These look so squished and horrible. The zipper placement is also awkwardly in the middle of the side of the boot. All around disappointing.

The Soyer wide calf boots are amazing! I am an ex dancer and never in my life was able to buy a pair of tall leather boots because of my strong calfs. This fits perfectly! I wish to have in color black, I would buy it right away!
My European size is 36, usually I size up in the US, especially in booties. I bought a 7, and it’s great.
The style and material is beautiful and it’s not too heavy either.

Not up to standards
I have many pairs of Sam Edelman shoes & boots. They have always been among my favorites and I have their earlier version of these boots from many years ago. I had hoped that these would replace my earlier pair, but they are definitely made of much cheaper materials. The calf is a little wide. The overall boots are very stiff and not soft or supple like my earlier pair. Very disappointed and am returning these.
