Adorable Coat with NO back pleat issue!

Please note that the comments about the 'bubble' created in the back of the coat with the sewn pleats is NOT a design flaw - this is simply TEMPORARY STITCHING to hold the pleats in place during packing / shipping. This stitching is easily removed with one snip (by design), after which the back of the coat lies beautifully. Truly, a very well-made, 3 season, lightweight coat - love it!

Great in front - terrible in back

Tried this on in store - jacket looks amazing from the front, but, as another reviewer mentioned, the back “pleat” design is TERRIBLE - it is sewn down at the bottom so the entire section sticks out and creates a huge, very unflattering “bubble” around your rear end. Total dealbreaker - so disappointing. Stupid design.

Don't forget to snip the threads in the back!

I love this coat but was ready to return it because the first time I wore it it bunched up in the back and was very unflattering. I had snipped the middle thread to open the back pleat, but there are two more that need to be snipped to allow it to flare without bunching. It's such a fun coat and I've already gotten so many compliments on it!

so disappointing

I wanted to Love this jacket. Everything was great until I turned around. The back lower pleat is so odd and it doesn’t lay flat. Hard to describe but disappointing so I returned it.

Great coat

Bought this coat last year. Other reviews complain about bulging at the bottom - I have experienced no such thing. The coat is beautifully made, elegant, perfectly true to size (S). Great craftsmanship, wore it all summer long, whenever it was cooler or it rained.. Thinking of buying the zebra this year. Unless the design changed dramatically year on year, it should be just fine!
