Cori Waxed Cotton Jacket

Love the color. It is more of a brownish olive. Great neutral. The jacket is warm. Great for cold, windy weather. The wind does not cut through. It would work well as a riding jacket when it is colder and overcast. It is slightly large. I think that it is supposed to be oversized. With Free People, if the cut is oversized I usually have to size down one. I normally wear a large. I bought this in a medium.

I was excited about this jacket thinking it would be a cheaper alternative to a Barbour jacket. I almost always wear a large in Free People since I’m tall, but the large could’ve fit someone 250lbs+ or two of myself. The sleeves were comically giant on me–look at the back of the sleeve on the model to see what I mean. This might be really cute as a plus size jacket, but it should be sized accordingly. I don’t think I could even go down in size because the sleeves would be too short. I’ll be returning this and saving up for a true Barbour jacket. Also, as another review noted, the lining is 100% polyester (aka plastic) which is not noted anywhere in the description. The description says 100% cotton.

I was just in the Rack and found this Jacket and had to try it on, looked big at first glance. Then I tried it on…had to have it so i made the purchase. It is so perfect just the way it looks on the model, my teenage son said that is a perfect jacket for you. It was on sales too! Love it!

Runs large. The small felt almost like a men’s small with how long the arms were. Stylistically, I love it. It’s actually what I was looking for. But I was disappointed to find the interior lining is polyester for a $300 jacket. It will hang on to smell so much easier than cotton, and that’s a no-no for a jacket you wouldn’t really be washing. The site did not mention this. Plus the “We the free” black text on brass buttons were a bit too much. I’m trying out the men Barbour Bedale next.

This coat is HEAVY, and if I lived farther north it would be a keep for sure. Unfortunately with the exception of very few days a year it would sit idly in my closet and I couldn’t justify the price per wear. Loved the fit and color overall!

Love this jacket, mid weight and lined. However, it runs small for Free People. Normally, a Large is generous, but this jacket barely covered my wrists.
