OL22 Lace-Up Boot with Genuine Shearling Lining (Women)

I live in northern Michigan - our winters are cold and snowy. I have a pair of true “snow boots” that I wear for heavy snow conditions, hiking, outdoor activities, etc. So, I was looking for something that was more for everyday winter conditions that would keep my feet warm and dry but also look stylish with jeans, leggings, a to and from work type of boot. These fit the bill! The leather is high quality, and the laces are sturdy. They’re not too clunky, but have a solid sole that will not slip on icy/slushy sidewalks. And they are super warm, so much so that I don’t need to wear bulky socks. The shearling lining covers the entire inside of the boot, even the tongue, and its a very plush, high quality shearling. With that said, I would highly recommend sizing up at least one size. I am always skeptical of sizing reviews because my feet very consistently fit into a size 8. However, the lining is very thick and I can’t imagine fitting into my normal size 8. I went with a size 9 and they fit perfectly, if not a little snug. I imagine they will stretch over time as well. Also, they don’t look like they’re an entire size larger, they look and feel like my normal size 8. TLDR: These are well made, sturdy, boots that will keep your feet warm/dry. Definitely size up!

I wanted to love these, I really did. So much so that I ordered it in two sizes but ultimately just couldn't justify the price given some pretty critical design flaws. The first is the awkwardly narrow tongue. My ankles may be a little thicker than the average ballerina but definitely wouldn't classify them as cankles. Even when laced all the way up, the lip still barely covered the opening of the boot which, for anyone dealing with snow and winter weather, is not ideal, and for anyone with taste, is not attractive. My second issue is with the unpredictable sizing. I am usually a reliable 8.5 but after reading the reviews decided to size up to 9. Turns out that the fur lining is pretty thick inside so I returned and ordered a 10 and while these fit my actual feet better the larger size did not solve the tongue problem. Bummer because I had high hopes and dug the green color!
