Dain Combat Boot

I originally ordered this product for 50$ less on Black Friday, to have my order cancelled because the product was supposedly out of stock. 3 days later I reordered the same product for $50 more which I was not happy about but I was willing to do since it is a top gift for my husband. I received the product, in a plastic bag. For 500$ boots you would think they could maybe send it to you in an actual box?? They literally threw a pair of boots in a random plastic bag and shipped it. Further, the boots were extremely scuffed up everywhere. Ruined. I will never buy shoes from them again after this. Not happy at all.

Excellent quality, but Runs Narrow, love the boots, but squeeze my feet, really hurts, gonna have to return it. Was the only one available at the time. I now see it appearing on the website in Black, will give that one a try in another size. Sure wish they had it in a WIDE.

I love the quality and look of these boots but I think I got a defective pair because the right boot has a bulge near the inner arch. I’m not sure if this can be replaced/repaired might have to return them.

Comfortable and great looking in green suede. Have been able to wear for corporate casual. Surprised at the instant break-in. Sizing was accurate.

These boots are excellent! I have several other pairs of Allen Edmonds (boots and shoes) and have been more than happy with all, including these. The styling is squarely in the "smart casual" range, as these are suede combat boots (I got the loden color) but they are subdued enough to also fit under jeans without looking out of place. They are very comfortable right out of the box. I usually wear size 11, but I took a chance on 11.5 as that was the only size left. These fit me perfectly and I love them!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There's a single piece vamp. 1 piece of leather is used . This is better quality than when several small pieces of leather are sewn together. No chance of stitches bursting open. The welt stitches were straight and not over sanded. Poor fit and finish. Lower costs construction . Shaft described as suede. Panels resemble cordura. Under the footbed lining is just layers of foam. Foam is used to cushion and hide a synthetic Texon or Bontex lasting board. Not welted to a leather insole, or leather midsole. You will find a cushioned, springy step. The outsoles are soft rubber, which is light weight. Good traction on linoleum commonly found in topless bars. At the discount price, with a coupon code, there's value.

Coming from a AE newbie who’s purchased around 12 pairs of AE shoes or boots in just the past few months… I have to say this boot is my second favorite (just after the Discovery Chukka). I highly recommend this boot. Ordered my AE typical size (10D) and these fit like they were tailored just for me. They are slightly on the heavier side, especially when compared to the Discovery collection. I have two of the three colors and tempted to get the third color… with these currently being on sale.

Worn in all conditions with exception to standing water. All men should add a pair to their wardrobe

At first the boot looks like a plain leather when you wear it until you see those sweet suede inserts peaking out, suede panels make the boot nice and soft around the ankles as well. The leather is thinner and softer than you would traditionally think of a boot, think more of a bootcut dress shoe. For me it works well in the office, those dress up nicely but can wear it casually as well. I took it in a size 10.5D, I am a 11D in my AE Park Avenues. Rubber sole feels softer underfoot than my AE dress shoes, some decent arch support as well.

Great quality boots that look and feel amazing. Would recommend.

comfortable shoes I bought them as the description says (new) I put them on for the first time and I saw some imperfections as they are in a photo They are minimal but I'm worried if I buy another pair again and it comes with those problems
