Metallic Smock Waist Tiered Cotton Blend Skirt

I purchased this Vince skirt in both the "aqua stone" and "black" shades. It is gorgeous. The fabric is like silk and it's a bit dressier than I expected. I echo the comments of other reviewers - it does run a little large. I first ordered the medium sizes, then exchanged for small sizes. I can't begin to describe how flattering the skirt is designed - complete with in-line pockets and the bottom portion is not too full. It is a bit heavy in the fabric - but if I don't wear it in the heat of summer - it will work for all three other seasons of the year! Highly recommended for quality fabric (a hallmark of Vince clothing), graceful and flattering style, as well as versatility!

I'm 6' and 185lbs and normally wear a size 14 in pants/skirts. I purchased this skirt in the Black, size XL. The skirt itself is designed beautifully and, as the other reviewer noted, the material is heavier weight than a traditional "silk like" material. Perfect for early Spring, Fall and Winter. I'm sending back because the XL was way too big even though sizing information indicated that it was equivalent to a size 14. Given that I would recommend sizing down.

I just picked this skirt up in the Aqua color at my local Nordstrom store. It is totally gorgeous, and the color is rich and outstanding. The reason I am giving it three stars instead of five, is that it is a very heavy skirt. I was expecting this to be an item that I would wear in the spring and summer. It feels very wintery. Maybe I will give it a few days and then decide! It certainly is lovely!
