Ryanne jacket

I bought this on the VB site. I almost didn’t buy it bc it looks like pajamas in the pics. but PJs are the style rn so I gave it a try. There is nothing pajamas-y about this when I put it on, except the comfort and coziness — without being a sweat-maker. The tailoring, material, and lining are so soft, and well tailored. How it makes such softness have structure is beyond me. The shoulder pads are minimal. I have them removed and the blazer still looks sharp and holds its shape. This is my favorite for winter. I buy 8 or 10 depending on the style. I don’t like oversized pieces. The 8 fits perfectly. The reviews here are weird. The back flap lays flat just fine, maybe that size runs small? The material is a wool blend suiting material with 2-way stretch. I wear it every time I can. It hasn’t pilled.

Beautifully tailored with high-quality Italian wool, lightweight, soft, and very warm. Great for travel. I wish I'd had this on a recent unseasonably cool European trip. It would have been perfect for so many situations. I'm 5'1", 113 lbs, and the 6 was slightly large in shoulders/chest, so I ordered the 4, which can still accommodate a sweater underneath.

This is a great addition to any wardrobe. Lots of reviews complaining that the jacket is not what they expected. No, it's not as structured as other blazers but it is still fabulous! Easy to dress up or wear casually with jeans. Comfy enough to wear when traveling. Dressy enough for professional settings. Love everything VB and this is no exception!

For the price, I would expect a much better fit. The jacket is not tailored to keep the back slit closed once the stitching is removed. The jacket flaps at the back slit instead of laying flat. In my opinion that is one of the differences in finely tailored garments. It did not fit well across the chest, with obvious gaping.
