These are faux leather.
It wasn’t obvious to me that these were faux leather till after I placed the order. The only place it’s indicated is in the color line.

Fit for walking
The Karol Bootie is comfortable. Walked around Boston and feet didn't hurt at the end of the evening. the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that I needed to wear an extra pair of thin socks along with the regular thickness socks in order for them to fit my narrow foot well. Plus I put a Dr. Scholl's sole insert in the bed of the boot.
All together, this made for a comfortable fit that did not slide up and down so much at my heels and the toes and balls of my foot didn't slip around.
