The Lasso Heel Mid Rise Wide Leg Jeans

Really wanted to like these jeans, but the sizing and proportions were off. I’m a size 12 and tried a 32 and 33. Both were too big, which was surprising as Mother has been running small lately (I might be ready to give up on this brand, as sizing is too inconsistent). I’m 5‘10” and the rise was also quite off for me. The waist hit just under my belly button, which was fine, but the crotch was short so I was left with an unflattering look (read: CT) in the front. With an inseam of 34” you’d think these would be sized for a typical taller woman’s proportions (longer lower torso), but they’re not. I also didn’t notice any barrel shape in them. They fit like slouchy wide leg jeans versus the more tailored look I was hoping for. Maybe because they added too much extra material to the larger sizes? All of that said, the jeans seemed well made, were quite heavy and had a nice rigidity to them. If you are tall and thin with a shorter lower torso, you might really like these.
