Fit: Runs slightly small

great basic Jean

First, they do run small. I sized up two sizes and they’re still snug (“Tell it to the pope” wash). These are a great basic pair of jeans, an alternative to a regular straight leg for me. I’m 5’5” and had them hemmed about 4” up to be right at the ankle bone and they still look great like that.

I love Mother. I wear a size 29, always (with just a little room to spare). In the store, I tried both a 30 and a 28 (no 29). Too big, and too tight, although could get them on and button w/o a problem, respectively. I was sure the 29 would be perfect. Not so. A bit too tight in the waist and around hips/upper thigh. So bummed, as I loved the style, length! Listen to the reviewers!

Ripped after one wear / wash

I absolutely loved these jeans. I normally wear a size 30 but all over the place in this brand. I found these to run a little small but 31 fit me perfect. I wore them and washed them one time and went to put them on today and they completely ripped by the belt loops on both sides when I sat down. These aren’t tight on me and I can’t believe the denim is that weak that they ripped! I’m so sad as these were expensive jeans.

Chic jeans but size UP!

Follow the other reviews (and this one!) and size up! These are chic and flattering jeans, but they run very small with almost no stretch. I am exchanging for one size up and will then LOVE THEM!

Very Small - Doesn't Fit Like Rest of Mother Jeans

These run very small. I wear a 32 across almost all Mother jeans and I own many. I couldn't even get these over my hips, no chance of buttoning. Size up by 2x at least. I returned.
