Moab 3 Waterproof Mid Hiking Boot (Women)

I’ve had mine since 2021 & I still LOVE them!!!! I purchased the blue & gray. They are dirty but that’s from good solid use! Now I need to figure out how to clean them lol. But they are still waterproof & comfortable. In fact my boyfriend just purchased a pair of these because of my recommendation. He loves them too.

Not Waterproof. I bought these for my wife as a sturdy and lightweight boot that was also advertised as waterproof.. She complained that her feet were wet after light rain or walking in muddy conditions. I tested myself by spraying water from the kitchen sink on the toe section of the boot and it took less than a few minutes to see the inside sole of the shoe wet.

I ordered these Moab 3 shoes on March 2 and they were delivered last night. I did not put them on until this morning. I've had them on all day and they are still comfortable. I like them. While it's not a big deal, the color these shoes appear on the website is called Granite; but, it appears darker than the shoes that I received. The shoes are comfortable and for that reason, I will keep wearing them. Here are the issues that I have found so far: 1. These shoes are supposed to be mid-high; but, they are the shortest mids in my possession. I normally like mid-high shoes because they support my ankle. In other brands of shoes, the mid comes to just above my ankle, giving it support, which is what I need when walking on uneven terrain. With the Moab 3, the top of the shoes come just below my ankle. 2. The second issue that has become apparent over the day is that the tongue of these shoes is not wide enough. It's either that or the fact that the top of the shoe that wraps around the ankle is not long enough. Maybe it's both. That combination of not enough length or tongue width is probably contributing to the lack of ankle support. Nice shoes; but, could be better

Merrell shoes are my absolute favorite for their comfort and traction. So far these boots seem waterproof, although I have not walked through water puddles or worn them in the rain for an extended period of time. This is the first Merrell boot that I have tried, and here are the pros and cons: Pros: just as comfortable as the shoes that I have bought, definitely run small- I typically buy a size 8 inch Merrell shoes and sized up to an 8 1/2 for this boot Cons: coming from an equestrian background I do not find these have much ankle support. This is a disappointment and why I took off one star. I bought them for the ankle support. I have to make them quite tight to even feel a little bit of support on my lower ankle. Merrell does have the best teacher discount in the biz! Thank you for this!
