Engineered for conquering the most rugged terrain, this durable hiking shoe grounds each step on shock-absorbing cushioning and high-traction Vibram® rubber.

Perfect for: Hikers looking for grippy, performance comfort on trails with lots of debris, uneven terrain and dramatic vertical changes.

Upper: Durable leather and breathable mesh provide protection and ventilation. Kinetic Fit™ Advanced footbed provides a biometric foundation that contours to the shape of your foot. A bellows tongue and protective caps on the heel and toe keep rocks and trail debris at bay.

Midsole Drop: 11mm. Classified as a high-drop measurement, it allows for more cushioning to absorb the impact of heel strikes.

Lower: Merrell Air Cushion technology absorbs shock as your stride changes with the terrain. Best-in-class Vibram TC5+ lugged sole provides reliable traction and ground grip on any surface and in any conditions.

Great boots
Tough, comfy, no need to break them in. I have a wide foot and these are the only boots I buy. Wear them every day 6 months year. Get a new pair every three years. These are taking me to Cornwall this year.

good looking shoe but...
They are a good looking shoe but felt funny under the arch like a bump that made the shoe uncomfortable!!! Sent them back. My old Merrill's were nice and I was hoping to have another pair.

The sole inserts make the shoe uncomfortable. I had to substitute Merrell Air Cushion inserts from old shoes.

Merrell Moab 3
Really sturdy and very comfortable. I'll wear it on my recent trip in Iceland in winter time when road is sleet, and this Moab 3 is very stable. I walked comfortably and safely.

Best shoes
I will wear these out and buy more. This is my third pair in five years. My first pair are still around and molded nicely to my feet. They are now dedicated painting and dirty work shoes. The souls on the second pair are wore smooth and no longer suitable for hiking. Pair number three are cute, warm and durable. I will wear them for hiking and casually for the next year or two.

Not as flexible
I like the looks but the sole is not as flexible and my feet are kept from flexing. I switched to Merrell from Keens to avoid the Ken's sole lamination from the shoe but I miss the flexibility.
