Too sheer; need to return
Tried it on in low light and I could still see straight through. It is thin and sheer. It's too bad. Because it was sooo comfortable and soft. Would have kept it except that I don't want to worry about people seeing what I wear under it.

Love the fit, poor quality
I am 5 foot 3 with a curvy, pear shaped body and this skirt was very flattering. However, after washing it one time (and line drying it), the stitching on the smocked waist completely fell apart! For ~$100 skirt, I would expect better quality! I have skirts that were 1/4 the price that have held up better than this one. Very disappointed!

Mine is black
Upon reading other reviews, I was expecting a washed black color. Nope. Mine is black. Black black. I’m also a 27/28 waist and ordered a M and it fits nicely- not squeezing the heck out of my waist. I could prob do a S but am going to keep it. One other point- I love ML but $98 seems too much to spend on this lightweight skirt.

Pictures to show color
I agree with other reviewers. I just got in the mail and fit is great. Size med. I'm size 6, 27 waist. Color is not black. It looks like a faded black thats been washed 50 times. Super soft. Great pockets. It fans out but is not proofing out. Im a pear shape and this fit is what ive been looking for in a maxi skirt. I'm 5'6 and it's 3 ish inches above my ankles. I think it still looks good. My negatives is it's not black and the price.
