skeptical at first but love it
The reviews had me conflicted. Originally I wanted the bigger black woven bag by Madewell but it’s always sold out on nordstrom.com. I was happy to see this one on clearance at Nordstrom Rack after eyeballing it on the Nordstrom website for a while. Skeptical, I decided to take the plunge and ordered it during Clear The Rack. I’m happy I did. I can fit my phone and a small wallet along with a few essentials in this bag, it’s not as puffy as I assumed it would be and it’s great quality leather. I’m very pleased.

purse strap broke
This was my first Madewell purchase. I was super excited however I wore the person one day and the strap broke due to a metal piece coming apart. I was super disappointed.

Madewell purses are always a hit and miss
Unfortunately, I still have not purchased a Madewell that I'm pleased with. Love the woven texture and that's it's leather but the leather is super stiff, the strap is too short and way too much puffiness. And due to the puffiness, you can't fit much in it.
