I found the reviews on sizing to be all over the place, so here’s my experience in case you’re spiraling like I was. This is my first pair of Hunter boots, so I didn’t have another style to compare them to. I fully planned to order both an 8 and a 9 and let my feet decide — but the decision was made for me when the 8 sold out at checkout. So, size 9 it is. For reference, I’m a true 8.5 with a slightly wider foot, and my sizing depends heavily on the brand: Adidas sneakers: usually 7.5–8 Nike: 8.5–9 Gucci loafers: 39-40 (like… excuse me?) In my opinion, sizing these boots really comes down to a few things and your personal preference: Do you have a wide or narrow foot? I have a wider foot Do you wear thin socks or thick socks? I wear both Do you prefer a snug fit, or a little wiggle room? I like my breathing room When I first held them up to my foot, my initial thought was: wow… these look massive. But once I actually tried them on (with both thin and thick socks), they looked cute, felt comfortable, and gave me the extra room I personally like. I can absolutely see how someone with a narrow foot might feel differently. Could I have made the 8s work? Probably. Do I regret getting the 9s? Not at all. They slip on and off easily, don’t feel sloppy or clunky, and feel solid and well made. The materials feel high quality, and they were comfortable right out of the box. So- Wider foot or enjoy your toes having personal space? Size up. Narrow foot or living that thin-sock life? Size down.
