Kept me comfy and dry!
I purchased these for a trip to Paris. My stepdaughter and I planned on walking the city each and every day and rain was forecasted. Sure enough I got to wear these a couple of days, and even though we walked nearly 9 miles each day I stayed very comfortable and very dry!

Blistered Ankles, Unstable Walking
I got these boots for gardening. I wanted a pair that I could hose off without soaking through, and indeed, I can do that, which is great. I don't love the shape of the soles. I feel they are somehow very unstable, though I can't pinpoint why that is. I have rolled my ankle numerous times wearing these around my yard. What I dislike the most is how hard these rub the back of my legs. Even with thick socks they rub so hard my legs are on their way to raw after wearing and will burn in the shower. I have other Chelsea boots and I know that some running is a little bit of a hazard with the style, but unlike my other, leather pair, I don't think these will ever break in or loosen up. And my goodness, it just really hurts.

Ripped too quickly and chafes
When I bought these boots I had to return and swap them because I have narrow feet, and they run a bit big. I initially loved them, as they are comfortable on the foot and have decent traction for everyday wear. However, the edge of the ankle began to chafe on the back of my calf quite painfully, even with tall socks. Although this has mostly stopped over time, one boot split open near the toe within the first year, letting water into the boot (which defeats the purpose of having waterproof shoes), and the other split not long after. This is with normal wear-and-tear; I have not done anything particularly strenuous in these boots that would have ripped them.

Sadly - Too narrow.
While the boot looks cute and I know would have worked for the purpose I bought it for, they were too narrow for my feet.
