Molly Houndstooth Plaid Slim Fit Pants

I purchased a pair of these directly from Free People and in my usual size 4. They were actually too big and returned them. When I saw that they were on sale at Nordstrom rack, I ordered a size 4 and a size 2 per my previous experience. I received them today and the size 2 is actually larger than the size 4. The size 4 pattern does not lineup on the outside leg of each pant leg like they do on the size 2. I really like the material and that it’s a nice thicker weight that would be great for fall and winter. Very soft, almost like a really short fleece. I’m going to take a chance and order another size 2 and 4. However, I’ve learned my lesson to hang onto my returns until I get the replacement because I have had Nordstrom rack send me the exact item that I returned in the store before (it had a very distinct defect and marking on the tag) when I specifically told the store rep it was defective.

I received a pair with a missing button (next to the hook closure) at the waist. Someone either already either wore them and/or popped the button off because they were too small. Not the quality or standards I expect from Nordstrom/Rack. The fabric is like fuzzy fleece and they fit like skinny pants. Definitely casual.
