Dolman Sleeve Piqué T-Shirt

I thought this shirt had such a great fit that I bought it in two colors. I wore it once, didn’t pay attention to the care instructions, and dried it in the dryer. I compared it to the one that hadn’t been washed yet, and it shrunk by 2” in length. My fault for not reading the label, but as long as it’s not wool, I assume wash and dry is acceptable.

I really wanted to love this shirt, and tried it in different sizes (M / L) just to be sure there wasn't a way I could find to make it look good, but it just didn't! The material is very nice -- has a nice weave and weight to it that creates a nice drape when worn. The neckline and detail pleating at the front and back are very cute. I'm 5"6" and about 165lbs., mid-short torso, and large-chested. Though the length and width of the shirt worked on me, the sleeves were a deal-breaker. From the front they weren't terribly bad (though not particularly flattering), from the back, the angle the sleeves hit at serves to just create this very wide look! I practically looked like a linebacker! I wonder if others are bothering to take a look at themselves from the back view, but these sleeves aren't doing any of us a favor! It there were just a little longer, so that the angle of the sleeves rounded over our shoulders more, I don't think this would be a problem. But at is, I was very disappointed that I'd have to return.
