Recycled Polyester Rain Coat

I wanted so much to love this jacket. It’s beautiful, high-quality feeling material, but absolutely ginormous! Like a previous reviewer said, the small fits like an XL. I considered exchanging for the XS to see if that would work, but I ultimately feel it would still be too big. The triangular tent-like cut probably works better on a very tall person, but at 5’6” it completely overwhelms my frame making it unflattering. It gives Morton Salt girl vibes.

The black on this jacket looks blue based so it pulls green/blue from a distance. Yes. It is oversized but that’s obvious from the photo and it was the vibe I wanted. I’m not sure why I thought there was a zipper and snaps but it’s just buttons so it would be a little frustrating unbuttoning and buttoning when I walk in and out of buildings. For sure, the hood will blow off if there’s a little wind.

I am 5’2”, 140 pounds, and I believe myself to be a true medium. I listened to other reviews though and sized down and it was the best decision! It is still roomy even though I already sized down to a small but what I love about it is that I can wear a thick sweater or even jacket underneath the rain coat since it is a thin material. It’s not like other rain jackets that are fit so I get overstimulated when my sweater underneath feels too squished and tight. I also live in WA so now I have a good size and cute styled rain jacket 😊
