Great western style for dressier occassions
Haven't seen many pictures of these in the wild so I thought I would post both a quick review and pictures. Purchased the Ariat Barrett in both brown ("Nearly Brown") and black color ways as dress boots - they land nicely between a dress Chelsea and a jodhpur boot in terms of styling. The 7 1/2" boot shaft (9" from heel to top) is much easier to manage under a pair of slacks than my traditional western boots.

Great boot but struggled with the size. Usually wear 8.5 had to go down to 7.5. Which involved ordering online and returning in store a couple of times.
