Jolene 03 Combat Boot (Women)

I was super excited to find what I thought was a rounded, square toed combat boot with a decent heel. So excited, that I got one in every color. However, without that top down photo ... you can't see that it's just another almond toe boot. Nothing special. Also, it's not a true combat boot (meaning only laces), there is a full side zipper. They also seem a bit shinier than the nice matte look in the photos. Meh - I will be keeping them. But I wouldn't get them again.

I'm not crazy about the look in person; the rust color is nice and the fake leather (oh, excuse me — "faux") is a good try but it does look unmistakably plastic-y to me. Even worse is the narrow toe area and the strangely wide ankle area. The PU is especially stiff, too, and they are heavy to wear. I dread lugging the box to return them but there's no way I'm keeping these.
