This set was worth the price for the amount of items you were receiving and the quality. Unfortunately for a little boy size 7 the pants are at least 1 size smaller all around and in length. There is no stretch to the pants. If your child has a longer torso the shirt may fit short. All in all- sizing up would be the way to go .
