Uptown Merced Platform Sandal (Women)

Not too heavy, good arch support, go with everything, perfect platform height and comfortable footbed. Some reviews mentioned discomfort due to straps rubbing against the back of the ankle, but I haven’t experienced that problem. I have 8M and as visible in the pics, the straps are slightly on the loose side but not a deal breaker because the ankle straps keep the sandals in place.

These are by far one of the best footbeds Vionic has ever designed for sandals. I will agree with other reviews that the heel does cause some discomfort; HOWEVER, once I wore them for a couple of hours each day for a few days, the leather heel softened up so much so that I have now worn them several times on long travel days in airports with absolutely no pain whatsoever. Just like walking on clouds. The sandal features a sneaker-like footbed, but its open design allows for expected swelling when traveling by air or sitting for extended periods. Try to give them a chance after breaking them in. I know it may not work for everyone, but it did for me, and wow, do I love them! I gave them four stars due to the initial discomfort, but they are now 5 stars to me personally.
