weird fit and style
Hate the buttons on this and the weird sheen to the textile. Otherwise the fit is weird. Small waist and otherwise too big and maxi length. Ugh - blah work wear.

This one is for you, taller ladies
Tried and tried again. Really wanted to keep it. The fabric is summer-perfect. Lightweight but still substantial. Shape, with darts, makes it quite refined. Just enough flare for style. But @ 5'1, I couldn't get it to work. Small was too big. XS seemed tight/pulling in the hips; but when Nordstrom alterations "pulled up" the dress from the shoulders about 2 in. , it fit perfectly. Lesson: Need to be tall for this one.

Is it just me?
Saw this online but tried it on in store, and I'm glad I did. I'm usually XS or S, but I carry a lot of post-menopause weight around the middle and the XS was clearly too tight-- it's quite fitted at the waist. That said, the S is a little big in the bust and the sleeves and hem could come up just a hair. Still, easier to have it taken in and hemmed than to pop the buttons! Note that the title says "denim" but it is much lighter/thinner-- closer to a poplin than a denim. It's versatile-- can dress up or down. I'm looking forward to wearing it.
