Cute transitional top!
I bought this in the x-small and small. I'm a size 4, 34a cup, and 5' 8" and 135 lbs. I'm 44 if that helps so my arms are a tad heavier than a decade ago, but I did not need to size down. A size small fit me well through the shoulders and it isn't overly blousy in the bust either. Maybe size down if you are petite, but for taller women I'd stick with your true size. Very cute and perfect weight for fall. I might cut off the strings because they really don't add anything to the top.
