What it is: A best-selling formula that intensifies color and helps lock down eyeshadow for up to 24 hours of noncreasing, fade-resistant wear.

What it does: Formulated with an essential blend of skin-loving ingredients plus an easy-blend doe-foot wand for seamless, professional application, this translucent eyeshadow primer glides on weightlessly, helps protect against blue light damage and fights breakthrough oil to help keep eyeshadows smooth and waterproof.

How to use: Apply a pea-sized amount onto your eyelid using the doe-foot applicator. Blend using a clean fingertip or a flat eyeshadow brush from your lashline up to your brow bone. Let dry then follow with your eyeshadow.

Pro tips: To help eliminate smudging on the lower lashline, apply a small amount of primer using a clean fingertip or a flat brush. Follow with your eyeshadow, eyeliner or mascara if desired.

Normal base for eyeshadow
Not a bad base to poke at. Extends the staying power. The shadows easily blend on it. Everything you need in the base is there. I'll buy again.It doesn't smell like anything

Change in Packaging a Huge Disappointment
I used to love Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but since they moved to the applicator and hard plastic container, I must change brands. I cannot control the amount of product I obtain when pulling the applicator out, the applicator does not work well to apply the product, and there seems to be less product. I am compelled to move to a different product line. Please go back to your small squeeze tube to dispense the eye shadow insurance!

Hard to use and very dry
This product comes in a tube which you can apply with the provided brush. The formula is quite thick especially compared to other eyeshadow primers such as Urban Decay Eye Potion or Rare Beauty Eye Shadow Base. I like mixing one part of eye shadow base with one part of concealer and this product does not mix with concealer. By itself, it is hard to use and it dries so fast that you should put extra effort while working on it. Moreover, the eye shadow just sticks on it and it is impossible to spread the eye shadow after it makes contact with the material.

Bring back the old packaging please!
Loyal Shadow Insurance user for 7+ years here. It was terrific on my oily eyelids. I do not like the new packaging and much prefer the previous tube package. It was easier to store and travel, more sanitary, and you could tell how much product remained. Please reconsider how you package this product.

WHAT HAPPENED?
I've used Shadow Insurance for literally almost a decade now. I turned all my eyeshadow wearing friends onto it. It was the ONLY primer that has ever worked for me and many others and the small tube was perfect for makeup bag transport. This new formula is beyond disappointing and a tube/wand what were they thinking? Unsanitary, unable to get to most of the product, you have no idea how much is left and charging more for less!?!?!?! Done. Over. Call me when the old formula and packaging are back.

Swear by this stuff
Everyone raves about urban decay's eyeshadow primer, but I think the Too Faced one works better for my skin. I tend to get more oil on my lids, but this primer really looks everything in place. I will even use this on other spots on my face (ie corners of the mouth) to help avoid creasing from other makeup products like concealer.
