Two Palms Linen Utility Jacket

Very nice and would be the perfect top layer over dresses and pants except that it was very very big despite being a Petite size small. The sleeves were easily 4” too long and the entire jackets was super baggy. This was probably 2 sizes too big even though I usually wear a size small.

I wanted this to be my goto casual summer jacket. Though the quality is excellent the fit is really boxy even in a size small and the drawstring waist is positioned too high. Pros: The jacket is high quality with several unique details that elevate it above a generic jacket. It is made of linen and has rough hem details around the cuffs and seams, which actually make the piece look much more expensive. The jacket has pockets. There is plenty of room in the sleeves and the shoulder area sits well. Cons: The draw string is way too high for a natural waistline (unless you have a very short torso). Even in a size small, the cut is so boxy that it is as wide or wider at the hip as it is in the shoulders. The drawstring helps, but since it is positioned so high and there is so much fabric at the waist it creates a peplum look. The sleeves are a little long.

I love this linen jacket so much that I’ve bought two and waiting for white to be released for the summer. The jacket is light weight, pretty much goes well with everything and is a staple for my travel capsule wardrobe. The fit is generous and non binding it the drawstrings can define the waist, size down if you are looking for a more fitted style.
