If you're curvy definitely size up as the lining does not give. I normally wear a size 4-6 and the 6 was so tight around my hips. I'm only 5 ft and the sleeves were overwhelming for my frame.

This dress fit me nicely and the aubergine color was beautiful, but I couldn't get past the big knotted tie in the front. It looks great from the front and back but from the side it looks like I have a big pouch in front of me.
