These shoes were listed as having leather soles —- something essential for dancing. In doing some research on the Stuart Weitzman brand from other retailers, it appears that there is a different line of shoes produced for the Stuart Weitzman outlet. This line may, or may not, have leather soles so it is important to check other retailers for a particular style, if leather soles are important to you. I purchased two colors, and since this one was a clearance item, will be keeping it, but not for dancing.
