Split Neck Cotton Midi Dress

Finally, a Tommy Bahama dress that fits a tall women. I receive compliments every time I wear this dress. I’m 6’ tall, athletic build. I bought the white one for a trip to Hawaii last spring and just picked up the black one on sale. It’s light, airy, and comfortable. The tassels are great.

Not really what I expected. It was really small across the chest and rode up under my arms, both qualities I am not fond of. Based on the reviews, I expected it to be more loose fitting. For reference, I’m 5’ 8”, 160, C-cup and I ordered a large. Normally a medium or large fits me fine. Honestly, I think TB quality control is off, so the sizing varies and you never really know what you are going to get. Had I had more time or a store close by, I would have tried to exchange it. I needed the dress for a casual outdoor function that afternoon, so I just went with it. I did remove the tassels because, well, they’re just plain hideous. Without them, the dress is cute and very airy and comfortable. I absolutely love the pockets. Honestly, the dress was ok for what I used it for, but it would be so easy to improve it. Finally, I’m a little concerned how the fabric is going to hold up after washing (shrinkage and piling). I really wish they’d come out with a style like this in a solid prewashed linen, dark navy and black.

Beautiful dress for summer, can dress up or down. Got many compliments on it.

[Employee of tommybahama] Dress fabric is soft with nice blue details. Could do without the hassles. Dress fits but little shape. I will have my seamstress adjust it since I do like the softness of the cotton.

This is a great dress! It is bright and fun! However, it runs big so at 5’2”, even the XS size was too much for me! I returned it and got the shorter version which is better proportionally and just as cute! Love the color combo! Thank you!

I LIKE this dress in white, but agree the tassels must go out with the trash. They add nothing to the dress except to make one look broader around the top of my rib cage. I am a 36DD, and only 5'4" tall. The dress sits right above my ankles and the chest fits me. I think this Tommy B line of cotton is smaller than any of the other TB merchandise I've bought. It's probably because of the muslin lining. Normally, a TB Medium is too big for me. The dress will be perfect for summer.

Overall I really like this dress. The sizing is generous as the dress is suppose to be loose and flowy. The lining is a nice feature and not tight . The only draw back was the tassels flop around and just look odd - I cut them off and don’t regret that decision one bit. It’s a perfect dress for the beach , summer brunch or cruise.

Stylish, well made like all TB clothes. Dress has lining/slip from waist to mid thigh; tied so won't ride up! Looks good with a sports bra.

Cute dress, but like other reviewers I would need to have manly shoulders and a much broader chest in order for this dress to fit right. I am 5'7", 140 lbs. I ordered a small and it fits like I wanted and expected except under the arms. I can put 4 fingers between my chest wall and the arm opening. Its so cute though, so I will pay to have it altered.

This dress runs true to size in the chest but has a lot of fabric and becomes more A Frame as it reaches mid length. I still like it and plan to take it it in a bit so it is not so wide. Would be a great beach cover up as well. Has pockets! For reference - I sized down and bought the xxs. I am 5-7 125, very small chest, slender body. If you have a larger chest, size up.
