This shoe add style over a sneaker!
I wear all kinds of high end sneakers from Nike’s, to Sam Edleman’s, but these boat shoes are a little different & adds an elevated style to being casual. I like the soft gold leather, the upper style with less shoe laces & the soles are just thick enough for comfort. It goes with denim jeans to leggings & casual slacks!

Nothing “authentic” about it
What’s going on at Sperry? I’ve noticed a decline in quality over recent years. The materials, quality and fit are all off from the “authentic” shoe of yesteryear. The materials on this shoe feel rubbery and the length is a smidge short. I don’t comment on width too often because my feet are on the narrow side, but these looked minnie mouse wide on me. It would be great if Sperry had maintained their quality standards since my first pair of topsiders in high school, but…no.
I have pair of a different Sperry style I purchased a couple of years ago. They were uncomfortable out of the box…short in the toe and rough canvas…but thought they’d break in. They didn’t….but my feet did, and I had to make a band aid run. I never wore them again. Lesson learned. It’s a shame because they’re cute. I’m not doing this again.

Fits large, too narrow toe box

Not for wide feet
If you have feet that are on the wider side you’ll need to size up maybe 1/2 size . Other than that, they are soft and pretty.
