Bari Ankle Strap Sandal (Women)

Truly do not understand negative reviews; not only do these sandals fit perfectly in length and width but they are comfortable and easy to walk in, something I was not expecting. Normally with strappy sandals like these my foot tends to slide around so I have to walk a little slower and with more care. Because these have a jute fabric footbed, my foot does not slide at all and the caramel coffee color is gorgeous. I have similar sandals in white that cost four times as much as these and they don’t fit as well or look as good.

I’ve been eying these for a while and finally ordered these in my size but after taking two steps, my foot was already sliding forward over the toes. I had the ankle strap tightened to the last hole and quickly realized there isn’t another loop on the strap to tuck in the loose part after it’s buckled. I wear anything between 8-9 depending on the brand and I don’t think going down to a size 8 would have helped all that much with the sliding forward or needing to add extra holes to fit my ankle properly (and of course the strap just dangling off to the side).

I was very excited for these as they're the perfect height without looking like an office shoe or being way too tall. However, I don't see how I could ever wear these. Every strap is way too loose, but the worst is the angle strap. I'm not particularly slim, but on the tightest setting there is about an inch of spare room. There's also nothing to keep the end of the strap down so it just awkwardly sticks out. Going back to look at pictures of this product from various sources, you can see this is deliberately misrepresented, for example they take photos from the side where the loose end is directly in line with the part around the ankle so you can't tell it's actually flaring out
