Wheaton Loafer

They are a beautiful classic loafer and the handmade craftsmanship is evident throughout in the comfort and quality of construction and finish. I can put on a new pair of Paul Green loafers, sneakers or sandals and have literally no break in period. That is both a blessing and a curse as they are expensive and I deliberated for quite awhile before investing in my first pair. The insole is removable and you can replace it with your own if preferred. I don’t have a high arch but someone who does or who uses orthotics can easily switch to them.

Loved them—one of my favorite she brands—but it wasn’t a good fit.

This was the perfect pair of loafers until I tried them on. The seam around the top front of the shoe rubbed on the top on my big toe near the metatarsal joint even while wearing a light sock. Painful! Sadly they had to be returned. Otherwise, true to size.

Needed a basic black shoes. These are everything I was looking for and more.

I loved the wine color of these loafers, and the soft patent was very comfortable - these fit my wide forefoot and narrow heel very comfortably in my standard 8.5. But the shoes had been tried on before and that had created a very sharp crease in the top of the toe of one of them, and not where my own foot creases. This was uncomfortable and unattractive - but also, if nothing more than a few try-ons (the bottoms were pristine) was enough to make them crease like this, I have my doubts about how these are going to wear. I decided to return them.

I have the Paul Green Natalie in my closet…absolutely love it. I was on the hunt for a shoe with a a thicker sole for walking on my vacation. Sadly this shoe rubbed my left foot and my heals slipped out as I walked. Returning. The hunt continues.
