What it is: A clarifying shampoo that won't strip away healthy oils.

Who it's for: Ideal for curly, coily and tight hair textures.

What it does: Enjoy a deep clean and remove buildup with the Cleansing Shampoo. Revive the scalp and give hair a fresh start without stripping away healthy oils. It features an antioxidant-rich matcha green tea, aloe vera and vitamin B5 (panthenol) to promote strong hair. Tracee Ellis Ross picked a fragrance that's clean and not overpowering with notes of jasmine, bergamot and sweet sandalwood.

How to use: Massage the shampoo vigorously into scalp and wet hair to remove buildup and residue. Add more water as needed to work the product through the hair. Rinse thoroughly. If desired wash a second time with PATTERN Hydration Shampoo. Use as desired.

Excited about this one!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this for my last wash day and it was great! More excited about this product than the hydrating shampoo. The lather was great and my hair felt super clean, without being dry. I think that this brings out the best in the intense conditioner.

Not safe for color treated hair! Made my hair fall
Did not state it’s not safe for color treated hair! Now my hair is falling out in clumps and ny scalp is very irritated followed by lot of dandruff. Not happy at all :(

I’ve been using the cleansing one more often as I’ve started to do more protective styles and going 6-8 days without washing. Cleans my scalp without stripping, still hydrating & gentle & plays very well my pre-poo & intensive conditioner

Not a lot of fizz
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the cleansing shampoo prior to using the moisturizing shampoo. I had to use a lot of product to get a good fizz. I'm used to using much less to get a good fizz on my whole head. But once I did, it was good.
