What it does: Boosted with 10 nourishing oils, the creamy, gentle Hydration Shampoo cleanses curls and scalp and removes buildup and dirt without stripping away moisture. Bathe hair in a moisture-rich formula with ingredients like honey, aloe vera and coconut oil. Founder Tracee Ellis Ross picked a fragrance that's clean and not overpowering with notes of jasmine, bergamot and sweet sandalwood.
How to use: Massage the shampoo vigorously into scalp and wet hair. Add more water as needed to work product through the hair. Rinse thoroughly. Wash a second time as desired. Use as desired.

Didn't work for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping to like this shampoo since my friend raved about how much she loves it, but I don't. I'm a coily girlie who took the online test to determine which products would work best for my tresses, and I purchased this shampoo as a result of the suggestions after reading reviews and the ingredients. This did not work for me at all. I could not detangle my hair as I usually do during the shampoo process with my regular shampoo; not with my denman brush nor my fingers. My hair felt "stripped" after washing and thorougly rinsing. I'm not one that uses a ton of product on my hair, and I keep my routine super simple. I tried on two separate days hoping the 2nd time would be different since it had been about a week since my prior wash, but the result was the same, stripped and tangled. I'm a trained cosmetologist, so this definitely was not user error.

Great (but looking for better)
I love Pattern products and Moisture Milk is my go to. The rating is because every product I have used is amazing. Unfortunately, my review not all good. I think you should repackage the Moisture Milk into a jar. It is too thick and the packaging produces a lot of waste. I filled a Transition Mask jar with the product that was stuck to the sides of six bottles. I have thrown countless bottles away without cutting them open (I rarely have the time it takes to do that). Altough, I love the product, I am shopping for a replacement. I cannot afford to keep purchasing a product that I have to throw away, or waste time to get out of the bottle.

Love it!

I have used product after product searching for something perfect for my thin low porosity hair (my hair has changed so much after giving birth), and the hydration shampoo & light conditioner along with the leave-in conditioner, mousse, and gel have done wonders.
