Details & care

What it is: A creamy, gentle shampoo that softly lathers to cleanse your hair and scalp, removing buildup and dirt without stripping moisture.

Who it's for: Ideal for curly, coily and tight hair textures.

What it does: Boosted with 10 nourishing oils, the creamy, gentle Hydration Shampoo cleanses curls and scalp and removes buildup and dirt without stripping away moisture. Bathe hair in a moisture-rich formula with ingredients like honey, aloe vera and coconut oil. Founder Tracee Ellis Ross picked a fragrance that's clean and not overpowering with notes of jasmine, bergamot and sweet sandalwood.

How to use: Massage the shampoo vigorously into scalp and wet hair. Add more water as needed to work product through the hair. Rinse thoroughly. Wash a second time as desired. Use as desired.

Yummy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This shampoo looks, feels, and smells luxurious. It still does a great job of cleansing my hair as well! I look forward to showering because of this shampoo combined with the lightweight conditioner - they both are satisfying to use and I am obsessed with the scent, it's so good! I would love it in a bubble bath to get an immersive aromatherapy effect!

Disappointed bad. Feels and smells like Pantene.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was hoping to love this product, but it fell short. It might hydrate, but it doesn't moisturize my hair. It didn't feel luxurious, and I had a terrible time trying to detangle while I shampooed. The smell was clean but reminded me so much of my Pantene shampoos from adolescence. The only difference is that it didn't strip my hair of oils, but it didn't do anything for my strands except clean them, which is the obvious job of a shampoo, but I couldn't gotten that with just about any brand. I have 4B porous hair.

Great products
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a mix of 3c and 4a hair and I went natural about 10 years ago. I'm a mature woman and I normally wear a ponytail, braids, and twist outs and Pattern products have worked great for me.
