I struggle to find comfortable shoes, and these passed the test. Plenty of space for toes if you have a wide foot. Well made, thick, quality leather. The shoe bangs down with each step--I may have some additional rubber added at a renewing shop. Be careful if you walk on raised patches outside like those yellow numbs at some crosswalks. I fell walking across the street because the shoe is so rigid and offers no stepping flexibility. Perfect indoors. Despite the drawbacks, I'm keeping them. I often wear Donald Pliner and Chloe wedges, and these are as comfortable but a different style.
