Definitely size up. It does gape at the armhole where the vest meets my back but I’ve had that problem with several vests so it may just be how I’m built, although a previous review mentioned it as well. It is beautiful and well constructed but I haven’t decided if I’ll be keeping it.

Strange fit
Lovely vest (beautiful )but I must send back a second time.
I’m usually a 4 US .
So using the chart I ordered that equivalent.
It was Too small in the chest . Barely able to button .
So I ordered the next size up .
Now it has arrived and although the chest is a bit bigger - it still feels if not precisely tight , then too fitted to have anything at all underneath. In addition the bigger size has a big gap the flares out in the neck shoulder area at the back .
Front snug , back -perfect for the hunchback scapula that I don’t have .
I gave it 3 stars only because of the quality in appearance and construction ( lined ) without those elements a single star would have been appropriate . If you have a fleshy neck upper shoulder area this vest is for you.
