Wide leg is the fashion now, and I guess if you want to make a statement on a date or an evening out, these are for you. Utility of these pants past that is minimal.

The ultimate high waist pants perfect for travel
Just what I was looking for--stretch every which way so they are super comfortable; they really are high waisted (as I have a long torso, these are wonderful!). They don't wrinkle easily so they will be my perfect travel pant. Bought the Diana bra to go with this and it is such a sassy outfit. I wish there were more colors. I did have to hem them but even I am no seamstress, it was pretty easy.
