Terrex Anylander Mid R.RDY Waterproof Hiking Boot

I bought these shoes because someone highly recommended them for hiking in Norway. After wearing them for a week on the East Coast Trail in Newfoundland—hiking at least 8 hours a day over challenging terrain at the end of July—I can confidently say they are not suitable for this type of activity. On warm, dry days, my feet became extremely hot and almost damp from sweat. After just 40 minutes of rain, the shoes were completely soaked inside and took a long time to dry. The feature that was supposed to be their biggest advantage—the high ankle support—was actually disappointing. The upper part is too stiff, provides very little real support, and rubbed painfully against my ankle bones. The only positive aspect is the excellent grip, which performed well on the trail. Unfortunately, that's not enough to outweigh the comfort and moisture issues. I've never experienced these problems with traditional leather hiking boots. No matter how I like other Adidas products, these shoes are no-go!
