Strata Trail Boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these shoes specifically for my trip to Glacier National Park, and honestly, they were the best shoes I could have picked. The ankle support and cushioning were amazing, especially because I’ve had ankle injuries in the past. I never felt worried about twisting my ankle, even on some of the rougher trails. The traction was also a huge plus. I came across slippery rocks, dirt, and wet areas, and I was able to get through everything without a problem. And they’re waterproof! My feet stayed dry the entire time. What surprised me the most was that I didn’t even break them in before the trip, and I didn’t get a single blister. I normally wear a 6.5, but I got a size 6 and they fit perfectly with just enough room around my toes. I would recommend going about half a size down. The shoe is a little heavy, but I honestly didn’t mind because you can tell the extra weight comes from all the support and protection it gives you. This was my first ever hiking shoe, and it seriously did a 100/10 job. I hiked some pretty challenging trails in Glacier with them and had zero problems. I can’t wait to take them with me to my next National Park!

I haven’t worn them so can’t speak about how comfortable they are. But the color, I ordered Kettle, Blush Rose, it’s no where like the picture. It’s like grey. These going back to the store.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very comfortable. Runs a little bigger and wider than expected but fits better with heavy socks. Hopefully will hold up well for winter hiking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Like the shoes and grip but the top tongue part is a little poky

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took these boots out of the box, put them on my feet, and took the dogs outside for a typical day of hiking around variable terrain (fields, rocks, wetlands, woods) on 40 acres, tending to the berries, orchards and sapling trees planted in tree tubes, and digging holes for new ones. When I came back in after several hours I literally forgot to take these boots off they were so comfortable. True to size for my narrow-ish 8.5 feet with slouch socks, no sweating inside the boot, and at least so far resistant to water. I am amazed. Amazed.

I was so excited to buy these, but no matter what I do they give me blisters. I’ve worn them about 5 times, on hikes of no more than 4 miles, and with different types of socks. They are the correct size. But still, blisters every time. My husband has a pair of Columbia hiking boots and they have never given him trouble. I’ve tried to contact the company but no success.
