Darry Water Repellent Platform Bootie (Women)

I was tired of looking so I kept them hoping the width would stretch. Extra Wide was sold out everywhere, no wonder, and the plain old "wide" is--not wide. It's not even the Regular width we know and love. So these "Wides" needed a few days of stretching (with a stretcher--too uncomfortable to stretch with just feet). Now they're pretty well stretched, super stable, not bad looking, and I wear them often. I still can't walk in them all day. Some still-narrow points get uncomfortable after a few hours. But with enough sitting and surreptitious unzipping, I can do a whole work day. Note: I don't normally wear Wide shoes--unless noted to run narrow. In these, I wished for those sold out Extra Wides. Lastly: I usually wear 7 or 7.5. In these, 7 was too long. 6.5 is just the right length. To Summarize: -- They run VERY narrow. Seriously, the Wide width is narrower than most Regular widths. They do stretch with a li'l effort -- They run long. Try sizing down by a half size to a whole size.

The heel is just the right height, and the uppers are real leather. The tag says that the boots are water resistant. I like everything about these boots except that they are too roomy all over. I have bunions, so I ordered the wide width, but I just need a wide toe box. I'll have to return them, sadly.
