Great even for 83 year olds
I don’t hike anymore but I do walk through my neighborhood. I like the zip front that can be adjusted for my vintage arches. I like the lateral support for my old ankles. And I love the stripes for that little boy in me.

Zipper is way too tight
They look great and fit well except for the zipper. I can't even zip it all the way up. It's so tight. I ended up having to add eyelets and laces to make them wearable.

Painful
Cool looking and very comfortable, until you zip it up, then it's torture. The fabric for the zipper has zero elasticity so when you close it it really painfully chokes off the top of the foot. This shoe was not well designed. I just bought these, and will most likely give them away.

Really cool but zipper kinda sucks
I bought these with the intention of them being my go to hiking shoe. I loved the colors i thought the zip closure was really cool and theyre goretex! The only problem i ended up having with the shoes, is the zip closure. The shoes dont stay zipped, its seems thats where they cut corners on this shoe. The shoes would unzip a bit causing my heels to slip out of the shoes, its just annoying having to stop a bunch to zip them back up. But they still look great, i think theyre perfect for casual wear, like a rainy day in the city, but Id keep them off the trail and just buy something with laces.
