Marled Straw Floppy Hat

On a recent FL vacation, too late to cancel, where the weather forecast was supposed to be thunderstorms/rainy & gloomy. Did not pack a hat or sunglasses…Silly Rabbit. Turned out to be gorgeously sunny everyday & extra hot bright sun so off I went to The Rack. Yes, the hat runs big but I didn’t mind it. I found my hair didn’t get crushed accommodating my low bun & giant sunglasses without the hat losing its shape. I believe I have an average sized head & the brim covered my shoulders, neck & face really well. The brim sits low enough to give you mysterious but it’s moldable & somehow you can still see well. Being $17 I wasn’t upset to have to leave it behind or have it get smushed in my suitcase. I really like the look & sun protection & it was worth a try to save it: I stuffed clothes around it & in it to support it & it made it home just fine. I’m only confused by the color labeling. When I bought it in the store, natural was sold out but they still offered an all black option & the one I chose, tan with little bits of black interwoven in. I suppose I’m just trying to make you aware bc the picture sometimes doesn’t match the description on the website. It looks like straw/rattan but it’s labeled as paper…but did you see, it’s only $17?!?! I LOVE a great deal! I think it looks very stylish (you’d fit in perfectly placed on the Amalfi Coast). Unless you have a tiny head please just try it! Even if they send you all black, just pair it with giant sunglasses & people will do a double take wondering if Holly Golightly is in town.
